Castled Sand Poem by Holly Jamestone

Castled Sand

Wandering on the beach
Tides at a crossroads
Embracing the dawn, its tangerine horizon
Sea gulls and herons both smiling

Doves, my companions
Clouds waltz in topaz bathed sky
Forever my own
The stillness and solitude

Buds cleansed by weeping clouds
Bow their heads shyly
As scantily clad heavens
Beckon from the open sky

Ocean waves anything but rabid now
Gently grip the shore with one hand
Calling me back to the Castled Sand
My refuge and sanctuary

Life knows no thirst, peace now lingers
Filling my pockets, as the seashell graves do
I savor the salt that loiters in the air
While my shadow accompanies me along the shore
