Catching The Javelin Poem by gershon hepner

Catching The Javelin

Rating: 5.0

I think there’s no Olympic sport
of catching the javelin or shot,
although sometimes I think there ought
to be one––although maybe not.

Many people have to catch
the missiles that are flung and hurled
by their competitors, no match
for shit that’s flying in the world.

I’d like for the Olympic Games
to synchronize such competitions
for those who synchronize great aims
with loss of stupid inhibitions.
