Caught In Rainy Weather Poem by Nia Schexnider

Caught In Rainy Weather

Rating: 5.0

In between tasks,

Walking down a path,

I felt a cold drop touch my face,

I stopped and looked up in place.

*

For a moment, I paused.

And as though for it's glory, expecting applause

The lightning was followed by thunder,

And I alone was left to wonder.

*

Should I run? Should I hide?

Will I get out of this storm alive?

I am afraid! And alone,

This path is not toward home...

*

But before my thoughts were fully projected,

The weather went and did the expected,

And it soaked me all the way through,

It was over before I knew.

Brilliant description Nia. This is a very nice poem that captures an everyday experience. In fact, I have had similar experience where I was heavily beaten by the rain. But, as you will agree, there is sunshine usually after rain and storm. Whatever form of storm that blow in our lives shall surely come to an end. I like it....good job!
