Caught Up In Regrets Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Caught Up In Regrets

Caught up in regrets.
With no other choice,
But to express and accept them.

Impulsive moves to choose,
Without using one's thought process...
Does not too often result,
In decisions made that are the best.

Few are left immune from the effects.
And few will admit,
The becoming upset to protect...
A foolishness returned not to expect.

Caught up in regrets.
With no other choice,
But to express and accept them.
Leaving those who could have said,
"I told you so! "
To know themselves...
No one can teach,
Their experiences lived to others.
Those lessons to come to learn,
Come personalized to keep remembered.
Never to forget,
The process taken to avoid regrets.
