Chasing Rainbow Poem by Richmon Rey Jundis

Chasing Rainbow

Rating: 5.0

My feet alternate forward rapidly
On a green field adorned with blooming 'Sampaguitas',
After an ululating storm
Have swept my innocence and peace,
To chase the colorful bow of my dreams.

Yet, as I continue to chase it and draw nearer,
This bow seems to be invisible to my eyes,
It seems to be out of my hand's reach,
All I can feel is the cold tiny little droplets
That complements the warm Sun's rays on my skin,
I remember now who this rainbow resembles:
That colorful easy go, lucky person, I love,
Like a rainbow, the more I run nearer to this love of mine
The more this person fades and goes.

Will I continue to chase this rainbow,
Or should I just sit somewhere far away,
Staring at it with full of contentment within my childish heart
That longs to stare and be with that rainbow.
