Chiara Luce Badano, The 18 Year Old Saint Poem by Patti Masterman

Chiara Luce Badano, The 18 Year Old Saint

She will always stay young now,
A young woman forever,
One with a mind so
Curiously wise.

She had to leave earth
And go straight into heaven,
Just to look down the whole world
With a smile.

She left no sorrows
Behind her, to trouble
The loved ones she cared for,
In her bright soul.

Reminded her mother,
Before she was passing,
Remember, when you dress me:
It's Jesus, I hold.
