Choices Seem To Come In Twos Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Choices Seem To Come In Twos

True feelings
we all have them
don't we know it's so!
They don't mean much
Do they?
If the ones we love
Never feel them
Never undertand their meaning
Just don't know the depth
Just don't know....
It's a lonely road we walk
so barren and so hollow
and when the road divides
and our loneliness presides
we alone must choose the path to follow
It hurst inside more than anyone can guess
the desperate heartache and emptiness
of this life we've somehow made a mess
but you're the one I found I loved best
nothing ever hurt so much
as knowing I didn't pass your test
and I can't help now of myself feeling less
I see no end in sight to the sorrow and the sadness
when all along I hoped for happiness and gladness
dreams of holding you ever clsoe to my chest
where hearts might have beat together
and built a loving melody
of everlasting joy and happiness
and now whichever way I go
whichever path I chose
I have lost my hope
either way, I know I'm bound to lose
life is just a solitary journey
but choices, always seem to come in twos
