Choosing A Christian Wife Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Choosing A Christian Wife

Rating: 5.0

Why are you surprised
that we are not together?

Did I not tell you
that when I married
I wanted to marry
a Christian woman?

Did I not tell you
that I wanted to marry
one who loved Jesus
Christ as much as I?

Did I not tell you
that I wanted to marry
one who loved my Lord
my God as much as I?

Did I not tell you
that I love my Lord
my God more than I
love this world this life?

You secretly told me
that you would become
a real Christian woman
after we were married!

But you love honour
Satan you love your
sin your lies you say
greed sin evil is good!

My hope for eternity
is my heavenly hope
in heaven with Jesus
with God my Creator!

I cannot spend eternity
in eternal torment with
demons fallen angels with
you bound in eternal hell.

Why would I forsake
even the smallest most humble shack
in heaven for a mansion
in eternal hell without hope of redemption?
