Christmas Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Christmas

The winter wind is blowing cold and strong
And snowflakes dance upon the window pane
But in my heart I hear a cheerful song
That fills me with the warmth of Christmas day

I think of all the happy times we shared
The laughter and the joy that filled the air
The gifts we gave, the love we showed, we cared
The memories that make me smile and tear

But some of them are gone, they left this world
And left behind a void that none can fill
I miss them more than words can ever tell
And wish that they were here with me still

But I know they are watching from above
And sending me their blessings and their love
