Christmas, Again Poem by William Kruse

Christmas, Again

Rating: 4.5

It's Christmas again and I wonder if the Child
is pleased with his presents:
a world that's forgotten His Presence, His Birth,
His Life, His Death and His Love;
people who claim to know him by name
and then live as though they'd never met Him;
children who always bicker and war,
servants confessing to sins galore;
the scattered few who know the reason
we have to celebrate the season:
and this we do by spending
money we don't have
on things we can't afford
for those who shouldn't need such things
to know how much we love them.
It’s Christmas again…

I just wonder…
