'Clouds Over My House' Poem by Linda Winchell

'Clouds Over My House'

Rating: 2.7

There are clouds over my house,
They blew in just today.
I heard they came from your neck of the woods,
And provided you their shade yesterday.

They were huge and white as cotton balls,
As they floated over my yard.
I felt as if I could reach out and touch them,
But I knew that would be too hard.

I think God placed them high enough,
Just for man to see.
And not to be able to take them down,
For then there might be nothing for you or me.

The wind I'm told is picking up,
And I think it's blowing down your way.
So now you will enjoy the clouds I've seen,
Over your house later on today.
