Clumsy, Silly, Me

i am clumsy when i love
but did you know
im clumsy when i walk?
i have no filter when i talk?
im a slop when i eat?
i trip over my own feet?
i screech when i laugh?
i muddle through math?
i wear my feelings on my face?
i like to move at a slower pace?
my room is anything but clean?
i make a funny face when i try to be mean?
i'm a grump when i wake up?
i just sneaked a sip from your cup?
i have laugh lines creasing my eyes?
and when i giggle i often cry?
i hide from scary movie scenes?
i am addicted to coffee beans?
i get caught in the most embarassing moments?
and i.....
you stop me there
and tell me you love me
despite all of those er...clumsy...components

Can your kiss be clumsy or a smile of a young child?
Then at the end of a long day can it be clumsy to say goodnight?
Is the warmth of your hand that untold
that you say clumsy be but be so bold. (Report) Reply

The honesty in this poem is nearly unbearable. I absolutely loved it. Hahahaha tis so true...but these are the things about you we love, meaning that's why you're our friend. Great write :) (Report) Reply

I love this, I don't know which line I like more
i wear my feelings on my face? or i'm a grump when i wake up?
or the ending. I love how you just pretty much laid everything out. Most people tend to hide these things(me lol) but you just relayed them all so nicely that they seem a part of your personality that should be known, and easily overlooked. Nice Job! (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Robert Browning

After
by Robert Browning

Take the cloak from his face, and at first
Let the corpse do its worst!

How he lies in his rights of a man!
Death has done all death can.
