Cold Blooded Poem by Simon Odhiambo

Cold Blooded

Three bodies,
one, two, three
All dead, by this road

One was a student
Life cut short by a driver

Two were women
Raped and killed last night by thugs

Three were demonstrators
Dispersed from the crowd by our security

In this while
Six of us lie cold by this road

It kills
As we watch from our haven
Safe today, morrow may be me

I cry...

True, unchecked violence finds us all. All to real in across the globe.
