Come What Will Poem by Patti Masterman

Come What Will

True love was never promised
With one embrace, or a kiss;
Waiting for Prince Charming
Has reduced us all, to this:

We're not happy with our life,
Which comes without fresh flowers;
We're told that life is cheap,
And never mind the hours.

And some give up too soon,
And some will not relent,
Though often hearts get broken-
And others, only bent.

Don't save yourself for dreams,
Which never can fulfill,
And give your heart to someone
Who can love you- come what will.
