Coming Of Age Poem by Amudipe Opeyemi Marcus

Coming Of Age

Saddens! Gladdens! !
Which! I Know not of,
Sapiens journey into greater kosmos
Like a mirage, its unfathomable

As a child, I flew the kite,
With tattered pants on the streets,
Not ashamed of any,
I lived like a king on the streets

With the moments, I lived
With each moons passing, I grew
The uncultured becomes cultured,
Just as the unconscious becomes the conscious.

The rites of passage continues,
Patiently our new moons beckons,
Alas it's not the new moon that scares,
It's the coming of age, I fear.
