Concrete Evidence Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Concrete Evidence

It should not take,
Multiple stumbles...
On the same sidewalk,
For anyone to begin to notice...
The difference it is,
From a paved street.
And upon closer examination,
It should be further noticed...
The sidewalk is made of concrete.
But there are those who refuse,
To listen.

Yet...
Multiple stumbles off one's feet.
On the same sidewalk,
And not to notice...
What is ahead to come to be done.
As if unconvinced.
With a wanted wish to get,
Repeated verification remaining unchanged.
Is the only way some people,
Will accept the proof of truth...
On their own terms as evidence of it.
To 'then' announce,
Something no one else has discovered.
