Condition To Write #3 Poem by Custous Angelus

Condition To Write #3

In a trance like state I write
Boiling in anger
Madly in love
Trembling in front of enemy
Enjoying the view of the unknown land
Fighting and working with perseverance
And out of unconscious the real life around me begin to take shape
People I know becomes part of story
Their personality greatly exaggerated and mixed
Becoming a hero, villain, sage, king, or anything
Places I know, freely modified as my mind pleases
Small events changed to tall tales
Unrecognizable to anyone but me
The bigger the event
The fancier my mind expands it
The beauty of it lies on the fact that it’s wild
Let no work of man tame it while it is still growing
Taming will come later and there will be a need of man’s work in taming
Counsel of others sounds foul in the time
Their taming hands are hindering the story
Best if the story simply went wild and untamed
But let it not be done in jest or in a single day
Slowly savor the imagination and allow for more freedom of mind
Work done in haste has often not reached the apex
Let time take great part in story in too
