Confused Love Poem by Kim Hoolihan

Confused Love

Rating: 5.0

How heavy can a heart feel.
How long can one go on before lying down.
How many tears can fall, tears that never dry.
How can a love so strong cause so much pain.
The pain on the outside, disguising the hurt deep on the inside.
When can one laugh, without fear of being too happy.
Who can one turn to when love has turned against them.
Where can they run, should they run, when there's nothing to run from.
Without reason or ryhme, telling would be no crime.
How long must one sit and wonder, thinking, remembering.
How many times can mistakes and unwanted memories surface.
How can one explain, when noone listens.
Or cares.
How do you win a battle when all your fight has gone.
Why does it go on.
How long will it be until the next time.
Will there be a next time.
A heart is broken when it feels heavy no more.
A heart that feels heavy no more, has died.

Ah, Kim: Do we all not have to learn this sometime in life? Read my 'Cicatrix' and tell me what you think. Adeline
