Constant Remembrance Poem by Sandra Feldman

Constant Remembrance

Rating: 4.3

There are no fine goodbyes,
Just remembrance, pain and sighs,
Times that were and shall not be,
With all love gone, how free are we?

Never free again!
Prisoners of memory,
Of love that can't come back,
Of life stopped in its tracks,
Of all the things you were to me,
Now gone forever, tearfully.

Your words ring ever so true dear Sandra; When those we love are taken - there is no more but the memories - so long the emptiness fills us - as we try to move on with our lives...finding it nearly impossible - eventually we move on but always with a certain part of our heart gone. Your writing is stellar here! You have managed to touch the very core of absolute sorrow! Bravo, dear poet, bravo!

Prisoners of memory, that still live in my mind I feel the pain, the sighs as you feel in every line, of love that cant come back I know what that is like, a constant remembrance I won't forget .....after reading this. 10++++++++++++
