Cordea Tumos Est Poem by Rommel Laride

Cordea Tumos Est

it’s very lovely to see your glittering eyes,

the mythical stars in the gray night skies,

the silvery moon your elegant bright face,

vibrancy of the rising sun with its myriad rays.

the graceful smile from your cherry red lips,

brought out the rarest summer sunshine glimpse,

anybody, anyone wouldn’t want to miss,

your most elusive and magnanimous kiss.

it’s wrong to say i don’t think about you,

i’m only deceiving myself if i’m doing so,

maybe i’m just unlawful of what it has brought,

“but isn’t it so ironic? ”, then i thought.

you are the one who rose me from my slumber,

scepter and key to the door of the inner me,

you took me out from the labyrinth i entered,

that day you step unto my life i still remember.

i wouldn’t ignore these feelings of mine,

most especially every moment i see you pass by,

same the hue of the pleasurable golden lime,

or such the elegance of those lavish silver wine.

i had this sentience with you already even before,

i’m fond of you, i love you so much,

but then my heart suffer from a dilemmatic sore,

cause by your gentle disregarding grudge.

my fate lies in the silky palms of your hands,

against all foes, through twisted lands,

even if not all you want i would be able to grant,

i would always offer, your wish would be my command.

at the end it’s your decision would relatively matter,

even if i would endure at the tip of the latter,

i would still be the person you can always lend,

the person you had known to be as your friend.
