Sonnet Poem by Rommel Laride

Sonnet

To experience love is heaven at once,
seeing Venus on her mortality.
To capture eternity at a glance,
finding a reason of one’s entity.

To love is to waltz on a twisted path,
not minding the humps that bothers the way.
Though one has to pass through the nature’s wrath,
because this is the price one has to pay.

To love is to carve feelings on one’s heart,
the eyes that sees beauty between spaces.
Considers a dot as a work of art,
like love, it’s what’s inside not the faces.
To love is to labor, suffer and die,
but to love with its mighty wings you’ll fly.
