Could Cry Poem by Randy McClave

Could Cry

If you could cry,
But just one tear,
Be grateful for your cheer.
But if from hate,
That your tears do wait,
Be sad from your fears.
For the tear that is unwept,
Is from sorrow somewhere kept,
It is a bad thing to hold and keep.
And if it is better to smile,
Than it is to ever cry,
I would rather sit and weep.
For if you could cry,
But just one tear,
From only just one thought.
I truly feel for you,
And the friends that you knew,
And the love and memories you lost.
