Could You Imagine Poem by Randy McClave

Could You Imagine

Could you imagine if you never stood for gun control
Could you imagine if you told your child this will never happen to them,
Could you imagine if you promised that from the bottom of your soul
Could you imagine if then in their memory you sang them a hymn.

Could you imagine hearing of a school shooting
Could you imagine hearing that sitting at your pool,
Could you imaging hearing of executing
Could you just imagine if that shooting happened at your child's school.

Could you imagine if you always stood for gun rights
Could you imagine if you believed everyone should always bare arms,
Could you imagine if your child was in someone's gun sights
Could you imagine if you never saw the red flags or alarms.

Could you imagine believing and saying that guns don't kill, people do
Could you imagine if you truly believed in that lie,
Could you imagine the pain that lie has put thousands of people through
Could you imagine believing guns don't cause people to suffer and die.

Could you imagine being so scared that you buy guns and rifles
Could you imagine then you carrying flowers,
Could you just imagine if someone got tired of someone else's trifles
Could you imagine not believing that guns are carried by bullies and cowards.

Could you imagine if you owned a truck load of guns
Could you imagine If you believed the lies that the NRA had said,
Could you imagine hearing the life's lost to guns banged on the drum
Could you imagine burying your child after being shot down dead.
