Crush That Rush To Distrust Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Crush That Rush To Distrust

Crush that rush to distrust.
With a convincing yourself,
Everything done you have tried.
Messing up your vibe like that.

Those who have survived,
Through more than enough stuff...
Know what it means,
To keep their faith alive.
Thriving on prayer,
In the midst of breathtaking obstacles.
Before wanting to be,
Left under shadows of despair.
But not to go there.
Even when the temptation came,
To dance around their patience.

No one says that tease is easy.
Or tightening loose strings,
On bootstraps isn't difficult to do.
But that choice to choose,
Is a must for anyone...
To rid that trap of all the crap.
Done to decide,
Steps forward to make...
Drying those tears to push them aside,
Eventually brings...
An end to a darkened cloudy sky.

Identify distrust for what it is.
Did it reside inside?
Or from outside to appear.
And if it dwells inside,
Who better than you would know that best?
Who better than you,
Can rid that mess to step away from it.
Unless...
You are comfortable making excuses.
Like many who refuse,
To believe their accusations made...
Deserves a serving of empathy!

Wake up.
Crush the rush to distrust yourself.
And stop waiting for the Sun to shine,
On your disappoints to remove them.
It could happen.
However...
Those odds to await to come one day,
Are not in your favor.
Nor is luck to have it,
Drop rainbows and pots of gold...
At your block door.
So bright to prevent you,
From going outside.
Too excited to finally live your life!

"What should I wear? "

What should you wear for what?

"To make the best impression."

On who?

"My fairy godmother! "

Dear Father,
Omni-potent, Omni-present and All That!
What is this task You expect me to pass?

"Why do you have tears flowing from your eyes?
Looking up at the sky like that? "

GOD works in the most mysterious of ways.
I thought I was just going to deliver a message.

"Trust me.
You did.
Now...
How do you suggest I should dress?

Messenger person?
Deliverer of great news! ?
Don't cry.
I know you are happy for me."

It's...
Philosophical.
PHILOSOPHICAL!

"Don't run away.
Stay and share my luck with me."

GOD help me.
Help me God!
