Crying For Nothing Poem by Abdullahi Nashe

Crying For Nothing

Rating: 5.0

Crying for nothing

The world begins
Only when you are born
Blameless you are
For Mother takes the blame
Yet crying,
For nothing should I say…

Guilt is it?
Optimistic you look
Her time is yours
Yours not for her
Guiltless you seem
Yet crying
For nothing should I say…

Selfish you are
Nibble the milk
From the breast for free
Yet crying
For nothing should I say…

Warm in her back
For that is the house
No rent to compensate
Yet crying
For nothing should I say…

Her sleep is gone
To keep you afloat
Her life for you
Yours not for her
Yet crying
For nothing should I say…

Mother suffers
For you to grow
To enjoy life and not to cry
For nothing should I say…
