Cupid Doesn'T Exist Poem by Alecia Nak

Cupid Doesn'T Exist

Friday's sunlight sinked inside the room filling every spacious room
tucking away my eyes from the sunlight
but it still made it's way in, forcing my tears to come pouring out
as if that is what I was missing inside
waking up in fitful tears
I only just realize that outside it was still dark
I looked for the sun and there it was glowing
so bright and beautiful I was afraid enough not to blink
afraid it might disappear
but soon enough my eyes will shut
opening them up again the window shined so brightly, again
I looked carefully there it was the sun
the pink red yellow orange skies of the sunrise
I silently smiled to myself
turned my head to the bed there he was, sleeping so peacefully
the simplest things about him makes me smile
like the sun rising above the skies
the colors of the sunrise were a mix of relaxing colors
like the colors of his deep-set brown eyes
so memorizing I struggle to come back
but relaxing too fa_r back into a phase I slip into a long endless pit of
blazing hot fire, it was the core of his iris blazing with fire
looking at them engulfs you in too many phases
you fail to remember you were in the real world
yet he won't disappoint you with the greed in his eyes
making your heart dropp to the ground
forming a connection with your eyes, you feel
you never want to let him go
enough to learn how to greed and want more of everything in him
his eyes dangerous like the sun
even so you still do want more
besides the dangers that I regard there are many other things in his eyes that shines
eyes just like the weather, changes with his moods
every little thing he do I still do love him; very much
every little thing counts
just like the stars above our heads
the little light bulbs shining above us,
making us think endlessly of our love
and the little moments happen because of the
the bright light bulbs of stars at night and the sun laser shooting sparks of moments
