Cupid's Reign Of Terror (March 2012) Poem by Stevens Cadet

Cupid's Reign Of Terror (March 2012)

Rating: 5.0

Speak...I wonder how your speech engulfed me?
Flames through your eyes, so much passion when you talk to me.
The Devil made a deal but the contract had him lost between,
The new Queen Of Darkness cause somehow while you fought between,
The trials and the errors of life that tried to measure,
The moment that you said a women you'll be forever never seemed to be severed.
Know your smart cause your clever whenever your words support your heart.
Yet you feel your the only one taking part in the art of conversation
When every word he speaks makes a mark & sparks a change.
Your mind is the dart & who you are was just the arrows.
Making Cupid an ancient pharaoh; Love has taken it's reign.
No terror, unless your scorned & heart became severed
You swore this would NEVER.......happen again!
The deepest part of your secrets were secreted through the sheets....
Cause nobody understood more then the clutched covers while you weep

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This was a throw away poem. As I get closer to the release of my first book 'Concept Of A Wondering Mind' I will just be posting some of my old poems from a while back or just new poems that didn't make the final cut. This was dedicated to a female friend who I had a conversation with about her confusion with love and if she was attracting the wrong people in her life.
