Cupid's Arrow
The arrow of Cupid got stuck
On the calendar on 14th Feb
The lovers heart bleeds profusely
Year after year and the world enjoys
Celebrating and beating around
Several roses are plugged
To please the bubbling hearts
New hopes and new promises
Things will be same the following day...
Bleeding hearts plugged by roses. An apt metaphor. This is why I cannot close my calendar, that darn arrow sticking out of Feb 14. Great lines, provoking and thoughtful.
