Daddy Poem by Rebecca Springsteen

Daddy

Rating: 5.0

Daddy, I know we haven't talked in a while,
but please just talk.
I don't care what it is, anything.
You've stop
responding. Am I as small as a thread?
Did your retinae,
finally give out? Are they ruined?
I miss your tightness thing of a hug,
how you would set me on your thighs,
when I wasn't an obligation.
Then you would hold me to your body,
I would always feel snug.
Can you see me daddy? Will
I ever see you again? Don't you want
to see me too? I distracted
you from work again didn't I?
Is that thing
for me daddy? Did I wake you from reverie
again? I'm sorry daddy. I promise it won't happen again.
Daddy do I deserve
to be shut out anymore?
I love you too.
It's unfair.
How much time you spend with that other little girl, it's needles
to my heart. Does she like flies?
What have you been
doing daddy? It's cold outside
now. Where are you?
Really?
Where have you been living daddy?
Are there cottonwoods
there? Do you like your new life,
daddy? Our house did plumage
to the ground daddy. Mama keeps on giving me looks
when I talk about you. Did you get me a present
for Christmas daddy? Can you
give it to me. I hope your doing well.
