Damaged Poem by Jorebungley Darjeeling

Damaged

Rating: 5.0

In the original testament
it was never said
Gods had to be merciful and kind
only later did the humans add
a touch of softness
rendering Gods infallible

My Gods are a rough sort,
they don't believe in fluff
serving it cold and harsh
like the Good testament foretold
"for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God"

I am a jealous kind, and in my wake
I ruin everything beautiful and holy
You, I adore
I, made you cry

I walk on the footsteps of my Gods

I carry forward their legacy
Perhaps, I am damaged by default
