Dance Well And Die Down Soon Poem by Allenace Muchi

Dance Well And Die Down Soon

Comes a summer solstice in September.
Nights get stickier with a sudden bitter sweet longing.
Why make a heavy weather of getting things done?
Why flash a weary smile to a deep distress?

Never will I bethink of it again.
It's a withered leaf at rest.
May it die out and keep peace now.

I wonder there's a sullen haunt.
No ghost in him should stay.
He won't summon his braveness nor follow his pursuit.
He sees a long way to the end.
He will soon fade in obscurity.

He never will be forced to plead.
My remorse is his pride and joy.
His blazing fondness brings forth a burning wrath.

I kept him for so long.
He didn't hold his faith dearly.
I slipped up a lot of times.
He gave out a raging stare.
He plunged so much unto my mistake.

I see a worth of glance no more.

On and off I flicker in doubt.
Back and forth he goes on.
Neither of us should conceal in absurdity.
Not the two of us should suffer fools gladly.
For we both are fools!

Should we despise each other?
He won't prolong his misery.
Not a hope in hell to cease his distrust.
My hearten ardor must expire.

Yet, yearning is ruthless.
No easy way to bear.
I gazed to learn his dance.
Too frail to die down soon.
