Dark Skinned Man Poem by Randy McClave

Dark Skinned Man

Who is the dark skin man way over there
The one with the beard and the long hair,
I saw him in the corner of my eye
I wonder what he is he doing here, I wonder why.
I've seen him around many times before
Usually around the sinners and the poor,
I wonder what's he doing here now I have not a clue
I wonder, what's he up to.
He's been hanging around the derelict's and the needy
And I've seem him around the prostitutes and the seedy,
Now I wonder what he's whispering in their ear
I wonder, do they really wanna hear.
I wonder what he is telling them
And I wonder if they are listening or if they see him,
Look, some of them are now beginning to pray
I wonder what to them did he say.
He listened to everyone who wanted to cry or talk
Away from no one did he walk,
Now he seemingly has left the room
Seemingly he took with him their sadness, and their pain and gloom.
I now wonder where this dark skin man had went
And by whose authority was he sent,
Now when I look around he has seemingly left
Maybe he went to visit the sick and the bereft.
Maybe one day I will be able to talk to this one man
I would love to hear and to talk to him if only I can,
Truly he loved and he did helped and he did care
I wonder, who was that dark skinned man standing over there.
