Day by Day,
I watch you walk away,
my heart is tearing,
with every step you take.

I hear you talking to your friends,
of what we once had together,
of what I screwed up.

I feel you watching me,
as I walk away,
step by step,
a long lonely path.

I am sorry for what I did,
I am sorry for the pain I have caused,
wishing you didn't forgive me.

I know my actions caused,
your heart to break,
my heart broke long before,
I broke yours.

If I could give you a knife,
to slit my throat,
I would hand it over and,
offer my throat freely,

Day by Day,
I watch you walk away,
