Day Dreaming Poem by Andrew Matthews

Day Dreaming

When nothing much is happening
It's great to have a chance to think
To drift in and out of thoughts
To dream though you’re still awake
It's allowed for goodness sake

Whether you dream of riches and wealth
Or a long life and good health
You'll hope that your dream will come true
It's about all you can do

I dream of good health for my family and friends
I hope for all the love that god sends
I dream of a mountain of cheeseburgers
And an endless supply of fries
A swimming pool full of tomato sauce
and I'll say to you” tuck in' until someone dies.
