Dazed Poem by Sandra Black

Dazed

I walk around in a daze
I dream of a serene calm face
The face I dream of
The face I speak of
Is the face of my dreams

It brings me neverending peace
A dream a hope of a tomorrow
Even if in the distance
Even if only for an instance
It is mine for that fleeting moment

O for this dream to come true
O for a love that feels too
O that wishes did come true
O that I had just met you
I hope a prayer I send in space

Hope in time and God's grace
This love of mine shows it's face
Have there been people before
Who have once loved
And never been adored

Can there have been people
Who loved fervently
Silently, secretly each day
Hoping and praying
He comes their way

Secret wishes, secret prayers
That weren't answered
That weren't cared
I hope they do not exist
That all were answered not one missed

A wish for happiness
For all mankind
Someday for each to be awake
Wake up from this blind man's race
Awake and still dazed
