Dead Pen Walking Poem by Bill Cantrell

Dead Pen Walking

Rating: 5.0

The pen who never catches sleep,
Will never know just how to weep
From poem to poem without a breath
The poet overlooks his death
For when we pen ten thousand poems,
Not one has feet, to walk alone

A clever write The words of today may just end up in the trash bin of history and the feet iambic or other wise will be like a beetle on its back no use to anyone. Great write enjoyed its philosophy

Bill, bless your heart, you know I could not resist a poem with this catchy a title! ! ! ! ! [And wasn't it Sean Penn who starred in the movie Dead Man Walking? ] I totally agree with your comment- The pen who never catches sleep, Will never know just how to weep- - You get a 10++++++++
