Dear God Help Me

I prayed to God every night
saying 'Please get all this crap out of my life! '
But he did not answer
A quiet mind.

I didn't ask for abuse
or the cuts and scars to follow
I didn't want to cry every night
or not know who I am anymore.

Life changes fast
I just really miss the past
I'm a lost teenage girl
hopeing for the best,
But I'm vanished.

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
