Death is everywhere:
In the past, present, and future.
You can't see it,
but its right behind you,
waiting for a chance to conquer you.
It is like your shadow,
following you every where you go
Most folks who are ready to accept it
talk about it as the best thing
They say death is wonderful.
When death is near you may feel it,
it is cold.
Don't be afraid to accept the truth,
that you will die,
regardless who you are.
The one who runs from death,
gets the worse of it
The one who accepts it,
is the master of death
Its not the end
but an inception.
i cant see death,
but i know its right behind me
waiting for a chance...
Yes, whether we fear it or not it is still going to get us all in the end isn't it? Very nicely written!
The big problem with death it that it tends to be final. Life temporary, I choose temporary so I am going to run, but I enjoyed your poem nonetheless.
words of Poothanam..... now Anu makes it as a slogan afraid to accept the truth, that you will die, regardless who you are.
i cant see death, but i know its right behind me waiting for a chance... beautiful lines...10 death is reality always blessed by almighty one has to go back there is no fun in staking curse
I didn't expect a 17year old to write a poem on a subject like this. But however, I was double surprised to see how deftly you have spun your thoughts on death in this poem. 'It is like your shadow, following you every where you go' True! It is nearer than the vein at the back of your neck. 'Its not the end but an inception.' - A wonderful idea!
A sublime start with a nice poem, Anusree. You may like to read my poem, Love And Lust. Thank you.
Dust to dust is a must, it's the ultimate inevitable final date that all and sundry must honour. A well articulated piece of poetry, nicely encapsulated and penned with insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. ➕9
