Death Be Damned Poem by Christal Carpenter

Death Be Damned

Will thou not cast me aside from this pain?
Will mine lips for ever utter thine ugly name?
Death be damned!
The dispirited seraph rises again!

She brings with her voice the razor sharp edge,
Her toes tipping, teetering on the ledge.
Death be damned!
She shall breathe again!

She takes with her screams of feelings unseen,
Her eyes forever filled with there gleam.
Death be damned!
She shall see again!

She gently touches a grain of sand,
Fire springs up and engulfs her hand.
Death be damned!
She shall feel again!
