Death Painted Black (Tribute For Jeff Hanneman) Poem by Kevin Patrick

Death Painted Black (Tribute For Jeff Hanneman)

Plagues, Locusts and old Alamagocus…
Spread pestilence from the matchstick of ignorance
Black boils swell, fresh excretions and abscess
Expose Catarrh lesions, and plasma stained mucous
Drive firmly on the reigns of existential friction
As Four Riders laugh approaching winds of extinction
Singing hymens the skies as Death is Painted Black

War, Murder, and Religious inquisitions…
Act as munificent offerings of civil decency
The latter to administrate slaughters vaccination
A cure for the feeble and measly of latent deviancy
Recoiling the salvos to the dogma of the temples
Where priest chant the reframe to ashes of ground zero

Call the masses to the opium and smoke signals
reveals the Figure as Death painted Black

Genocide, homicide, profit man’s eternal bride
The only soft companion neither cheated on in time
From the plains of America, to the camps Dachau
The massacre of Indians was the prelude for the Jews
Layering corpse as frescos to the bloodied ballrooms
For the masque of life leaves to an epilogue of ennui

spray painted on the walls in graffiti Revue Billboards
As DEATH PAINTED BLACK!

The colour of all existence ends into a single spectrum
Dolorous and putrescent, washing out in the cosmological
Like a flood of prophet Noah planned reshuffling of cards
At the end of every rainbow is a pallid shade of night

It’s the bomb that rips the little boy to pieces
Sending raw meat in his mother’s shivered screams
It’s the old man whimpering in the geriatric orphanage
Making check outs for heaven with the slip knot on his neck
And the gold digger who’s starved for all her wants
Including the first-class prescriptions to have the angels sing
It’s you in the box with six feet of covered dirt
Clawing with your fingers getting splintered in your nails

Its death painted black
And its everyone's final colour

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I started this as a joke and its not really a poem, just a heavy metal style lyrical farce homage.
I decided to make it a tribute to lead guitarist of Thrash Band Slayer R.I.P Jeff
