Death's Hour Poem by Lendsy Salcedo

Death's Hour

You gave me
promises of mirth and
happiness, no pain and sadness,
Only love and truly love. Like a soaring
dove above, I will fly and no one will stop. But
then, you turn to be my hunter, hurter, killer, murderer.
You tied me in a rusty cage, in metal chains in many age.
Hit me with latigo, taken my pearl virgo. You deflorated
my virgo intacta, by your ravish genitalia. Violent
copulation, you thrust without limitation. Your
virility is nothing to my feminity. Your power
to shake my world, sent a rushing pain
to my womb. You unleash my tears.
You gave and fill me with fears.
Wrecked. Ruined. Slowly
D-Y-I-N-G

As I hugged my fragile body totally entirely naked
Bloody and violet bruises never ever faded.
Coming from your violent iron fist
I beg to stop the blood mist
I am raped by own lover.
I am slaughtered alive with no aider.
I shouted your name, but you're like an animal
untamed. Dear lovely gentleman, if it is my death's hour
I want you to remember the OURS. Remember my death hour.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Daniel Brick 13 January 2017

This is a terrifying expression of good things suddenly perverted into violence The experience which should be one of union, shared bliss, a source of beautiful memories, becomes its polar opposite: the man grabbed his pleasure with brutal unconcern for his partner. it was a betrayal of so many good things: trust, caring, mutuality. The fact that you can write this poem shows your strength of character. This poem is a way to begin the healing.
