Descending Slowly Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Descending Slowly

Descending slowly,
Upon a consciousness.
Is an awakening of truth.
Saddled and strapped,
On the back of facts.
Coming to despense,
Evidence of it.
To end the suspense,
Of a fiction.
Man made and created to delude,
A reality that has nothing to do...
With who refuses to disbelieve,
Symbols, images.
And impressions to make them,
With a worshipping to idolize.
A worth to value kept prioritize.

This to accomplish and achieve,
Will have no defense against...
That which begins to descend slowly.
As proof that our existence,
Depends upon unseen 'Spiritual Deities'.

Returning to arrive from the 'Heavens'.
To restore and ignore,
Claims made by the few who perceive...
Their greeding to feast selfishly.
Is a sign of 'royalty'.

That has made them chosen,
As gods to rule over the Earth.
And the entire Universe.
With those delusions kept.
To soon be corrected effectively.

And...
As far as having 'good genes'.
Bestowed upon those,
Known to have brilliant minds?
Where is that evidence found?
By anyone looking around.
Only to discover and find,
Confusion, conflict.
And racial division created.
Reflecting their 'genius' abilities.
Who that brilliant as well as insecure,
Could imitate,
This impression to make.
Done to leave many minds blinded.
