Despite The Sadness



I AM ALONE IN MY OWN SADNESS

I am alone in my own sadness
And I am alone in my own light
And where I go no one knows
And my mind is a traveler to distances
I never previously surmised

And all the love I have for others
Is deep in me
And grows deeper in the years
And I am surprised at how I love life still
And have so much joy
Despite the sadness.
