Diary Of My Life Poem by A.J. Jaskowiak

Diary Of My Life

Rating: 2.7

I stand here in this empty room

Another memory I once had with you

As the darkness falls

I can see the picture on the walls

The thunder roll, the lighting flash

I can hear the raindrops hit the glass

My cold heart turns all the rain to hail

As I explain to you my horror tale

The book closes but the story’s not over

This dark world keeps getting colder

And as I put the pencil down

But your words still go on

This dark day is as bright as night

As I explain the story of my life

And all the times life felt like hell

Another page is turned in this horror tale

I stand here in this bitter cold

Another memory that I am all alone

As it starts to rain

I can hear your voice once again

And now it hurts to breathe

Ever since the day you had to leave

This feeling that I can’t help but fail

As I explain to you my horror tale

The book closes but the story’s not over

If the good die young why am I getting older

And as I put the book away

The story still continues to play

As I stand in the light on the street

I break down and fall down to my knees

No one was there to catch me when I fell

Another page is turned in this horror tale

I stand here in overwhelming fear

Another memory that you’re no longer here

As I close my eyes

I can see the meaning of my life

I paid to little but lost to much

Now you’re in my mind but out of touch

Hearts stop and the air is still

As I explain to you my horror tale

The book closes and the story is over

Another part of my life is over

And as I turn the final page

I can still hear the rain

I stand here is this empty street

Pretending that you’re right next to me

As I walk on this forgotten trail

The final paged is turned in my horror tale
