Come Back To Me Poem by A.J. Jaskowiak

Come Back To Me

Rating: 2.6

I'm walking down an ally The path that used to lead me to you Everything seems so different There's nothing left for me to do I'm riding into the sunset Pretending you're still here with me My white horse and my armor That's how you wanted your life to be Please hold on This wont take long I just want to know Why did you have to go? Am I the one who did this? Did I bring this upon myself? I tell you that I'm sorry But it doesn't even seem to help I could see it in your eyes I knew what you were about to say The sudden chill made me freeze up You said we should both go our separate ways Please don't go away Why won't you stay? I want this last chance to say Just what you mean to me I can see you through your window I'm standing in your backyard Even though I could almost touch you It seems like we're miles apart I try to close my eyes But I can hear you running through my head Since you broke my heart I suppose you can have yours back I'll dry my eyes I will not cry If you just come back And at lease say good-bye I'll never understand it I never believed in destiny I thought we were so perfect Why is it your not meant for me? I'll stand right here waiting No matter how long it could be What goes around comes around So maybe you'll come back to me You can never run You can never hide I'll always hold A piece of you inside
