Is It Poetry

Did You Ever Know

The reason why I left so long ago.
As the seasons seem to change.
I had to go.
You were young and I was old.
I saw you cry.

Now when we meet,
were even closer, far apart.
And none can see,
the awkward reason why we part.

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
