Difficult To Provoke Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Difficult To Provoke

Anyone who has accepted who they are.
Doing this done to walk and flaunt it.
Is not often the one displaying insecurity.
And would be difficult to provoke,
Into a pointless argument.
Especially by another,
Living on innuendos and assumptions.
To perceive what they hear to believe,
Has achieved credibility.
Without facts to digest.
And it takes people like this,
Who pretend and embellish lives they live.
Done to imitate without an identity.
For anyone who has rejected those deluded,
To know.
Being provoked by those who charade.
Would be a place they rather not go.
To masquerade and play charades,
With another who has discovered provoking.
As a way to feel better about themselves.
