A dinner party, what a lovely thought, bring pictures from your vacation; I’ll bring treasures from mine, we’ll have a little dinner and sip a little wine.
Arriving two hours later than originally planned, the food was fresh and hot the evening was not.
Something was off, wasn’t really comfortable right from the start. Then a swoosh! ! out the door in a rush to somewhere else; with barely a hug goodbye.
Night after night aching heart so deep, waking through the night continuing to weep, an old woman grieves for those who pretended to care about a lovely dinner party but that’s NOT at all to say it ended there.
