Disputed Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Disputed

There are people who live openly.
To be honest and respectful to others.
With nothing to hide or secretly disguised.
But often seem to be these days,
Disbelieved for their activities accomplished.
Although documented they are.
And for years dissected to remain that way.
But yet then,
To be continued to be lied upon by pretenders.
Living their lives based on lies to tell.
With a selling of them well.
Until truth is exposed and revealed to be known.
To still be disputed, diluted, and refused.
Since those who have lied most of their lives,
Also perfected,
Alibis to accept.
To have those sold upon them,
Looking to hear more.
As if their minds have been addicted.
And seeking a fix to be maligned.
