Distortion Child Poem by J.M Berger

Distortion Child

ou know i crave that distortion
and i'm against that abortion
but it's a man choice to distort
and it's a woman's right to abort
so i crank that reverb on my epiphone
and you pray to the lord that he takes care of your son
while i hope to play the most searing notes
you let the tears form in those eyes and you hope
did we do the right thing?
did we do the right thing?
when i picked up this ax
did i head down the right track?
when you gave up your baby
were you thinking the right way?
what am i doing?
this is ridiculous
an analogy between an instrument
and an action so intense...
this is ridiculous
